The latest burnley meeting was at the cross keys last night. Only 8 people turned up. If you want a say in which pubs go in the 2012 GBG, you have to turn up OR hand in your beer scoring cards to a member who is going to the meeting. Dont forget to enter your member number! So far, we have visited and scored 23 pubs in the burnley area. Suggestions for pubs to visit are very welcome.

I would have thought that 8 turning up was pretty good - some CAMRA branches only get that number for their monthly branch meetings! I attended a Lunesdale branch meeting in the centre of Lancaster, near the bus station, about 18 months ago and there were 6 of us there!
Some ideas of Burnley pubs to visit (I don't know which ones you may have done already) - Bentley Wood Farm /Harvester (the beer was better than the food on a recent visit), Sycamore Farm, Waggon & Horses, Royal Butterfly, Stanley, Rifle Volunteer, Woodman, Ighten Leigh Club, Tim Bobbin, Dugdale, George IV, Prairie, Reedley Hallows.
Anyone out there know when the Pendle GBG team are meeting as I have several cards to hand in?

thanks john, done a few of the pubs you suggested but will def try the others - havent been to a couple of them since the eighties! 8 not a good number if you compare it to the controversial 'Boot' meeting last year. No good just turning up at the end of a process after other members have given a lot of time and effort before then expect to get your own way through sheer weight of numbers. Want this year to be completely fair with a decision made based on the opions of as many burnley members as possible over the course of the year.
