Nutty new identity is black magic from Thwaites
Re-branding of an old favourite [by John Ingham]

Daniel Thwaites′ continuing drive to recruit new cask ale lovers has stepped up another gear, after the family brewer announced a major investment in one of its most admired brands. The Northern Brewer has led from the front in the bid to enhance Cask Ale′s position in the UK drinks marketplace, and is now aiming to introduce its double winning Champion Beer of Britain to a new consumer with a fresh, attention grabbing identity.

The next few months will see the wraps come off Thwaites re-presentation of its famous Dark Mild, with consumers being able to buy the beer under its new
